Logging is crucial - and daunting to maintain, if done the old way. You need big ElasticSearch Cluster, which is sadly quite heavy on every aspect - CPU, RAM, disk I/O and maintenance. It is quite expensive. There must be a better way, and as we found out, the folks from Grafana where already on it.

As Commerce happens 24/7, IT-OPS needs to provide 24/7 coverage for all shop-related incidents.
The IT-OPS team at DOUGLAS follows cutting edge strategies to deliver a resilient and high-performmance shopping experience for our customers. We are really cloud native, adopting wholeheartedly GitOps and pipeline driven infrastructure as code and use elastic up- and downscaling Kubernetes-clusters for production and development/staging workloads.
